Porite Taiwan has received operation permits for air, water, solid and toxic wastes. Porite Taiwan has designated personnel that is responsible for the control and management of each one. Porite Taiwan lowers all pollutants to make sure that Porite Taiwan is below regulation requirements and is working toward to zero pollutant discharge.
In responding to the RoHS requirement of the European Union, Porite Taiwan internally carries out monitoring and control of hazardous substances in raw materials, production processes, packaging materials, and all additives. Externally, Porite Taiwan requests importers and suppliers to lower hazardous substance concentrations to meet all environmental requirements. In response to the global concerns and need for increasing consciousness about environmental protection, Porite Taiwan uses internal and external education and publicity to increase the attention paid by her employees and suppliers toward the environment. In a form of feedback to the environment, Porite Taiwan spares no effort to take care of roads, parks and embellish public facilities.
In recent years, Porite Taiwan has accomplished the following:

Installation of water pollution control equipment: wastewater → oil/water separation tank → adjustment tank → neutralization tank → oxidation tank (secondary biological treatment) → settlement tank → discharge tank |
| 3. | Installation of equipment for reduction of toxic substance volume: solvent recovery equipment (electric heat, distillation). |
| 4. | Installation of solid waste storage facility: waste oil area, waste empty drum area, waste tricholoethylene, scrap material area, general area, paper area, bottle and can area, waste fluorescence light area(Porite Taiwan follows government requirements to carry out trash classification). |
Porite Taiwan follows the operation concept of emphasizing both industrial development and environmental protection. Since its establishment Porite Taiwan works with government agencies on new requirements to achieve the objective of zero environment pollution. In 1999, the Tou-Fen factory has received the ISO 14000 certificate for environmental management. By the end of next year, the Chunan Factory will complete the ISO 14000 certification.
